The Worldstack

So if you clicked the link that brought you here, chances are good you're wondering what the heck a Worldstack is. Well, let me tell you a little story, and explain.

Once upon a time, when I was just a little kitten of sixteen years or so, I had a strange dream. It's stuck with me all these years, since it's where my fantasy world Anarill came from. And in that dream, I hid from assassins in my closet, and in there I bumped up against my first worldstack. It looked like a hovering stack of translucent sheets of paper. And when I touched it, I could tell that each of those "sheets" was really a different plane of existence, and I could enter a different world through each of them. Yes, I agree, that is weird. But what can I say? It was a dream.

So that's how I keep my fictional worlds organized in my mind. I can't imagine I'll ever run out of writing material, because there are hundreds upon hundreds of worlds in the Worldstack, each one filled with unique stories. Granted, a bunch of the worlds are uninhabited and quite boring, but there are many filled with people and stories just waiting to be told. I've wanted to create an online Worldstack for many years now, but even now, my skills just aren't up to producing what I see in my head. So I'll just create a semi-approximation and go with the concept of peering into my different fantasy worlds, rather than trying to physically recreate the Worldstack itself.

What you'll find in here varies, depending on what world you want to explore. Sometimes there will be pictures, sometimes character biographies, sometimes more of me rambling. Although hopefully the rambling will be kept on target, rather than just blabbing along aimlessly. In general, though, you can count on finding out background information that exists, but doesn't make it into stories for one reason or another. It'll probably be in development forever, because every time my brain coughs up a new furball—er, I mean, story, there'll be another world to create.

If backstory, geographical details, maps, pictures, and such are not your thing, cool. Just clear out of here now, go on your merry way, and you won't have to get bored. Otherwise, have fun adventuring through my Worldstack!
