Uh-oh. There are major changes in the works for this website, and Marie Brown's fiction in general. Look out. Probably around June things, including the URL, will change.Don't worry, there'll be a redirect.
Marie Brown's fiction is now available on Smashwords.com! Not to mention Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and too many ebook retailers to mention here. Watch for more stories to come online as time passes.
Okay, after considering for a ridiculously long time, I've decided to come out of the identity closet. I don't suppose it'll really hurt anyone too badly to know my long time screenname, but I was a little leery of letting the cat out of the bag. See, I'm not just a writer of original fiction, nor did I exist in a vacuum before I got tired of getting the eternal stream of "well-written, but not our style" rejection letters and dove into the realm of self-publishing. I amoh, the horrorI am a slash writer. You may gasp and fall to the floor in shock now. Yes, that's right, I've written a crapload of slash fanfiction, and some of it was mighty popular in its day. Hell, some of it still gets good reviews over on the WWOMB. So here I am, the Sithkitten, crawling out of the shadows to face the light of day unflinching. So if you insist on liking social media and stuff like that, I occasionally can be found on Twitter @sithkitten. And on LiveJournal as the_sithkitten. And at Deviant Art as sith-kitten, because I'm a moron and lost the login info for my original sithkitten account, so I had to add a dorky hyphen. As for the slash fanfiction itself, that lives at the Sithkitten's Lair, just like it has for a decade and more. In the past, I was on Yahoo Messenger, MySpace, and Facebook, but guess what? Not anymore! Too damn crowded there. I prefer to exist on the fringes of society, where people don't mind that I write smut and my mother can't track me down. Oh yeah, and if you bump into "Aeryn Soon" at Second Life, you'll know I finally found some free time not taken up by Skyrim.
